6A: Portraits

These portraits were fun for me to do since they are members of my ward, and some of the first friends that my wife and I made after getting married.

We went out to Smith Park at around 6:30 and I just let the family walk around and have fun. When I saw them in an interesting place, I would either stop them and pose them, or I would just take some candid shots.

I met up with Daniel from my Comm 300 class and he brought some great insight as far as lighting and lenses go. He let me borrow his prime lens to help get some interesting shots, however I didn’t end up using any of those photos. However, it was fun to see this family from a different perspective that Daniel brought to the table.
